Sponge goes to Socrates Sculpture Park for an open air marketplace featuring a curated selection of skillfully crafted products.  Makers Market is presented by American Craft, The Noguchi Museum, R20th Century and Socrates Sculpture Park.

Sponge is a teaching, learning and discipline-bending project. For Makers Market, the booth will foreground the handmade wool felt items that are the central material manifestations of the project. Feltmaking has been a mainstay of Sponge since the first event in 2007.

Wool felt shoes, boots and mittens in a spectrum of hand-dyed colors will be on view along with a felt kitchen sponge multiple.

Visitors will be invited to place orders for mittens and shoes in custom sizes and colors.
