Sponge was a ten year project that generated experimental approaches to learning and teaching. "Attached” to a public university the way a sea sponge affixes to a marine reef, Sponge provided open waters for the conspicuous mixing of disciplines. The pictures below represent a loan of sea sponges from the Harvard Museum of Comparative Zoology in spring 2007.
